it was amazing
bookshelves: poetry

*for those who fear Larkin's views*

Based on what is in his poetry, I highly disagree with most of Larkin's world view. At the same time, I absolutely adored his style.

What I could see of his beliefs were opposite of many of mine, but, taking this into acount, I found that the conclusions and observations they drove him to made perfect sense. I personally felt as though I was reading the book of Ecclesiastes rewritten by an atheist.

I will fully disagree with what he believes but completely agree with what his poetry is trying to show. It may seem depressing, but when looking at it from the other side it can reveal and explain things that one may not have understood.
