I liked the book and found it to be entertaining. The characters are often humorous juxtaposing the darkness which Roberts also places within the novel. I was really only annoyed by the things that I found to be unlikely within the novel those being, the main character's underexplained talent for knowing what has or will happened and also Robert's choice of the "bad guy" as it was unexpected but also implausible in some ways. Additionally, at the end of the novel I did not feel as though all the loose ends were tied up completely as the relationship between Cade, the main character's love interest, and his mother leaves off in an unsettling and uncertain place and it is never really explained what happens to the "bad guy" at the end although it is implied that everything is going to work out for the main characters.
