Kate and Vincent are finally together, but now the question is, will Vincent be able to resist his natural impulse of sacrificing himself to save others to stay with her? Interesting new characters come into the equation in this sequel to Die for Me. And as more revenant- and numa- history is discovered, lives become at stake once again. Kate is still one of my favorite YA protags in the way she is very down to earth and mature for her age; it makes the book refreshing. There are a lot more cool fighting scenes in this one, which of course leave openings for very exciting and suspenseful situations, leaving me at an absolute white-knuckle ending. I eagerly await the last in the trilogy, and the fate of my revenant friends. If you’re a fan of Dead Beautiful, Evernight, or Twilight, give this book a second glance!
