Patterson once again delves into a genre I didn't associate with him (like when he wrote Sam's Letters to Jennifer) - and once again he doesn't fail the reader!! The story moved so quickly I finished it in one day (less than 8 hours). Scary thought that all the technology we are using and creating could one day turn on us. Like other books of this genre, the "humans must be careful about destroying their world" theme is pervasive but the twists Patterson weaves into the storyline keep it very interesting. Patterson challenges the reader to mover between thinking like a human and thinking like an Elite in order to fully understand how and why the various characters act and react in the manner that they do.
