Karen Kingsbury does a great job of talking about a very sad, yet serious modern issue in today's world. She has a way of telling a story that really draws a reader in.

Brad is an up and coming NYC ad guy who is engaged to marry his boss's daughter. But a secret from his past haunts him and he finally comes clean to Laura. Doing what he feels he has to do, he makes amends and finishes writing that chapter of his life.

Brad shows great faith and courage in approaching his fiancé just a few weeks before the wedding. That would be hard to do. It definitely wasn't a "happy" story, but shows a point of view that not many people might think about.
