I still don't quite get the Gaiman fanfare. I tried reading one of his books, and found myself unable to get through the tangle of words, and finally gave up.

So I thought I'd try this book, because it's a collection of short YA (though that's not necessarily a given).

I'll concede some of the stories are clever, but some were obscure, and one story just sort of ended abruptly without closure.

Yes, I was entertained, and yes, they kept my interest; but more than once I just sort of shook my head.

If I could have rated this 2 1/2 stars, I would have, mostly because this is probably how the scores on the individual stories would have averaged. Some were two stars, some three, some four ... so an average of 2 1/2.

I'm still not on the Gaiman bandwagon.
