I enjoyed this account of the unlikely American ambassador in Hitler's Berlin. It read more like a novel than a nonfiction book. At the end, once Dodd was removed from his position, the book seemed to speed up, but maybe that was to be expected. The book was compelling and provided a snapshot of Berlin life, which I enjoyed.
