Jake is for middle school age children; it is charming, sweet, and endearing; it has a positive outlook and wonderful role-model characters. I highly recommend this for your child and family. It is an unforgettable Vermont DCF nominee.

Mary Taitt and would you recommend it for adults?

Mary Taitt those of us whose children have grown up? Or for a granddaughter finishing 4th grade?

Andree Sanborn I saw that it was like 3rd grade and up. A book about a boy but may have more interest with girls. I think 4th would be fine, but may be young for her if she is strong reader, but the book is so so positive and affirming.

Mary Taitt She is a strong reader and pretty smart, but doesn't seem to mind a turn at younger books (yet).
