The California-Mexican border is a war zone, and there is no reporter more vivid than Winslow.

Georgia I read Dawn Patrol by Don Winslow. At first I did not like it as it seemed to be all about surfing, lingo, Beach Life. Interest begins with mystery. Angela is pushed off balcony and the Dawn Patrol, 5 pals who love to surf
take over and solve the crime. Good Writing, Lots of depiction of American
Way of Life. Will try Savages.
