it was amazing

I agree with the critics who say that Roth is probably the best living American writer. Roth tells the story of Coleman Silk, an Afro-American professor who without intentionally passes for white, and loses his ob when he asks aloud in class about a couple of students who haven't shown up in class all semester. He wonders if they could be spooks. What follows is the revelation of his past, a farce of political correctness and a love story between a disgraced professor and a female janitor. A wonderful book.
