Dr. Ehrman's book is a fun read. He presents the complex topic of textual analysis and validation in an entertaining and understandable way, weaving his scholarly understanding with the story of his personal spritual journey. Sometimes he over reaches, is provocative, and does not make his case but, in general based on my other readings, Dr. Ehrman's findings seem sound. Dr. Ehrman's book includes a very short list of key passages with which textual analysis has found serious flaws. As a Christian, I was delighted to discover that our holy book has suffered far less degradation than it could have over the last 2,000 years. This book has inspired me to start researching textual transmission of major texts of other religions, a fascinating study in itself.
