From MAy 17th, 2011: Simultaneous read with three other GR-members :-)

And I started, but did not finish. The book isn't bad, but I didn't get past the first part yet.
Other books keep getting in the way, so I put this one off for now.

Hayes The English translation we have is a bit "clunky". Must be better in Dutch!

BoekenTrol I tried to find 'clunky' in a (online) dictionary, but can't find it. What does that word mean?

clunky [ˈklʌŋkɪ]
adj clunkier, clunkiest
1. making a clunking noise
2. Informal-ponderously ungraceful or unsophisticated: clunky boots
3. awkward or unsophisticated: then you laugh at clunky dialogue

I meant awkward, or ponderous

Thank you! The Dutch language used is old fashioned and contains quite a few parts connected to the Catholic religion. It is not hard to read (luckily).
