so i am just gonna phone this review in because i got a few minutes here while i eat my ice cream sundae and this book was not a great experience for me, so i don't feel like putting out the effort.

i read this book only because i was ten minutes into my lunch break when i realized that the book i was reading: For Those Who Hunt the Wounded Down was the third book in a trilogy.

great.

so i ran to naomi's office where i had my books on hold for the week, and grabbed this one, thinking "i can read this whole book and get closer to catching greg." and now i am glad i didn't buy this after all, because this is not poetry that i enjoy.

damn you, cover! you are so cute!
you almost had my money!

but the poetry is overly precious prose poetry which seems designed to impart a playful mood, but there's nothing to really hold on to. it's all kind of a surrealist muddle to me. i feel like if i were more brooklyn, i would like this more.this is probably just my shortcomings; my indifference to most poetry, and my impatience with surrealist efforts.

judge for yourself, but i still have my fourteen dollars.
but no more sundae...
