I am a big fan of Sato Satoru for his series of Korobokkuru books, and waited a very long time to see what he would write next. Tengu Doji is a fantasy about a Karasu Tengu named Kuromaru during the Sengoku period.

The Japanese reading level is my favorite for fun reading -upper elementary school. Hard words and proper nouns have furigana, so if you have been through 4 years of Japanese you shouldn't need a dictionary
