Sold is a really inspiring book that is written in a really special format. The author organizes each chapter like a poem. After reading this book, i realize that i could refer it to another book that i had read in school. The book that i found to be simliar to is called Women at point zero. Both of these book shares the same issue happening with the main character; prostitution. I was shocked after reading both of these books and making comparisions and seeing how simliar the main characters are. The character in this book is a girl named lakshimi. She was sold into prostitution witout knowing and this had brought her to a different life. She feels as if she lives in a trap, no exit to step out of this difficult situation, suffering as a prostitute. Overall, after reading both of these books, i could make a connection that woman in the old days suffered through many hardships and didn't have much rights. I really liked reading this book and i reccommend people to read this.
