If you are looking for a juicy tome of Cary Grant, silver screen star, then this book is not for you. The book contains no behind the scenes looks at one of Hollywood's leading men, no trip down Grant's childhood, and no account of the age-old lingering question of his sexuality (was he or wasn't he?). What you have is a sweet, loving account by Grant's only child of Cary Grant, man and father. Perhaps it is because I am now a parent myself, but this book really resonated with me, and I found myself wanting to be a better person - to emulate the adoration, simplicity and plain love that Grant - as is reflected on the pages of this book - exuded in his every day life. One thing is for certain, at least from his daughter's perspective, the Grant that we all admire on the screen was just as much the same Grant in real life.
