The Ideal Man (Buchanan, #9)
by Julie Garwood
by Julie Garwood
Dr. Ellie Sullivan is quite the trooper. Her life has been anything but ideal, in fact some would classify it as tragic. Stalked and beaten by a lunatic, she caught her sister in bed with the man she intended to marry, and now she has witnessed the shooting of an FBI agent, putting her in the sites of international criminals. She still maintains a positive outlook and is basically well adjusted.
FBI agent Max Daniels hasn't had a cushy life either. It's made him the tough agent he is today. So why does he feel all warm and squishy around his star witness? Sure she's beautiful and he would have to be dead not to find her sexy, but he is feeling so much more than mere sexual attraction. Makes a guy scratch his head.
I just love Julie Garwood books. They are like a box of Cracker Jacks. You know the candy is good and there is some type of a surprise in side, but will it be a cool tattoo or a plastic race car. The only complaint I have with Ms. Garwood is sometimes her heroines are a little too nice. Personally I would have beat the tar out of my sister if I had caught her in bed with my fiance, much less go to the wedding. I probably would have made Max crawl a little bit as well. Men need to know there place. Other than that, this was an IDEAL read.
