A man is in Federal Detention awaiting trial for multiple murders, but is considered to be too mentally ill to stand trial. Sean King and Michelle Maxwell are brought in by his defense attorney to investigate both the murders and his mental state. The defense attorney is murdered... And this is only the beginning of an excellent thriller. The plot keeps you guessing and holds your interest. King and Maxwell are the protagonists you can't help admiring (particularly their stereotypical role reversals). The antagonists are all those you thoroughly enjoy seeing 'get theirs'. There are even some good surprises. This is well worth reading.
