I just heard that this book will be a movie, and I hope they do it justice. Based on real people, the story follows the fossil-hunting exploits of Mary Anning, who was just a child in Lyme-Regis, England, when she discovered the fossils of several prehistoric creatures - an ichtheosaurus and a pleiseosaurus. I listened to it on CD, and the story was told in two voices, portraying Mary and her older "spinster" friend, Elizabeth Philpot. Now I really want to go there for a visit!
