I thought it dragged and the character development wasn't as his usual level.
Alice is a widow - husband missing/dead in boating accident. the boating facts , from the beginning of knowledge of the facts were farfetched. no one went out that night in small craft warnings. gosh - is that a clue? a bunch of someones wants her unpaid life insurance. her attorney is worthless. i did hang in and finished it and i liked the end, in spite of myself.
