This would have been better if there were less of it. Kava tries to throw too many elements into this one story. First, you have the EchoEnergy cover-up, which spreads the story to DC and the Senator. She should have stopped there, but instead she’s also thrown in Sabrina’s brother’s mysterious life (which I figured out pretty much right away), a murdered senate staff member, gay porn, and a ridiculously out of place assassination plot. She could have focused on Sabrina, Jason, and EchoEnergy and this would have been a tight, concise, well-rounded suspense thriller.
