Very good old-school murder mystery. Reminds me a bit of Lawrence Saunders' Archie McNally series. This particular book must have been the basis for the Whoopie Goldberg movie "Burglar", as I recognized the plot line and most of the characters. Except the burglar is male in the books, and there's no Bobcat Goldthwaite character. This is the second book in the series, and both were good mysteries, and pretty funny.
