really liked it
bookshelves: super-sexy-males

I've read most of Kleypas' historical books and this one is probably my favourite so far. A good light hearted read, much in the same way of Johanna Lindsey's historicals. They have similar male characters, being the arrogant rakish Dukes, Visounts etc, and the lead in this one is no different. The heroine is a shy wall flower who stutters and blushes at almost anything, and it can be a bit hard to swallow sometimes that for someone as sexually charged as St. Vincent, he could fall hopelessly in love with someone like that and so quickly. If you can get passed that you'll find that Kleypas' more than makes up for it in the love scene department(she's renown for them). They can get quite explicit so if that's not your cup of tea steer clear, but not being a fan of erotica or anything to raunchy myself, Kleypas' don't seem to steal half the story as most do, so is still easy enough to overlook and enjoy.
