A paranormal romance set in a semi-post-apocalyptic world…just the kind of book I was looking for. I devoured this book. I ate up every dark, gritty moment of it. First I have to say that I love the thought process behind this writing team’s name. Ann Aguirre and Carrie Lofty took two names synonymous with badass science fiction heroines (Ellen Ripley from Alien and Sarah Connor from Terminator) mashed them together and created one badass pen name. From the minute I read that, I knew that they were going to create one badass trilogy and of course Nightfall doesn’t disappoint. From the characters to the storyline, I love everything they did. I marked down half a star because of a few slow moments, but otherwise it was nearly perfect.

Once again my only real complaint is that because it’s a paranormal romance series we won’t get to spend much time with Jenna and Mason in the future books. But I’m fairly certain that won’t matter a bit when I get back into the gritty world that these two women have created.

L-D I liked this series too. I haven't read #2 yet.

Paris I've got #2 waiting on my Kindle. So many things to read so little time.
