In this second volume of the Thor series, author J. Michael Straczynski focuses more on Thor's family dynamic to bring a story about inheriting the throne of Asgard as the Norse God of Thunder continues his quest to reclaim all he once lost -- particularly his love, Lady Sif, and his father, Odin. In bringing back Odin's character, Straczynski explores Thor's reason for being and offers an historical perspective for Loki, Thor's villainous adopted brother reincarnated in female form since the first volume.
