This book was so bizarre and frightening but it was so good. Tara is a girl who has OCD. Her family knows something's strange about her. They go to multiple psychiatrists and receive multiple false diagnosis'. Tara's OCD comes in waves. Sometimes she feels "normal" but I lot of the time she picks up what she calls new "quirks" or "rituals". The book really brings the reader into Tara's head and explains her actions. She struggles to keep her friends and the members of her family become on edge when she repeats her rituals. Kissing Doorknobs is a really quick read, because of its length and its ability to captivate the reader.
