it was ok

Told from three perspectives, two black women and one white; set in 60s Mississippi, it's the story of a rich white girl who wants to publish a set of true stories about the lives of maids to white women.

I struggle w/ a story that is 2/3 from a perspective that is NOT the writer's. The subaltern CAN speak (and probably has - I'd be very interested to read a book written by a black maid working in this era of segregation for that fresh, accurate, and personal perspective). This is a light read.
