Even as a pretty epic Tudor nerd, this book still threw some new information my way, so I'm impressed on that basis alone. Besides that though, Weir is an excellent writer who is very capable of crafting a clear narrative chain of events. She builds characters well and makes them really come alive, despite the fact that they've been dead for a few hundred years.

Long, but I think it was apt. She covered six women's lives in great detail and wove them together rather masterfully. Well worth the effort.
