really liked it
bookshelves: first-reads, sci-fi-magic, ej-newman, post-apocolypse, young-adult

Well I did enjoy it. The characters were good and it was a strong young adult story without getting to much, and yet I wanted more. Knowing it is the first in a series makes this a better book, had it been a stand alone, I wouldn't have enjoyed it there was to much build and not enough story. The energy around is good, and the premise is believable, I just had more questions that I wanted answered. Knowing they will probably be answered in the books to come made it better, but I felt there were a lot of things that could have been answered in this one. I enjoyed how the friends found each other and the description of the gangs. I felt Zane's growth was believable, and watching how Titus also grew up was good. I am curious to see what powers Erin ends up with and how Eve fits into everything. This is a series to watch for, and I think a great one for the young adult group.
