Genius. This book was sent to me by a friend here on Goodreads, with a comment about "even if you don't have kids, this is hilarious!" She couldn't have been more right. I don't have kids. But I did help raise my nieces and know all too well about the relentless stalling tactics of a child at bedtime. This book was written for adults as a way to help them laugh at one of the most frustrating events in child rearing, putting your child to bed.

Go the F**k to sleep had me laughing hysterically as I remembered the days when my niece would refuse to go to bed. "I'm not tired, I'm thirsty, I have to use the bathroom, I'm hungry, my knee hurts, I'm scared..." Children use every excuse in the book, and many are covered in Mansbach's adult lullaby; Go the F**k to sleep. To everyone who has kids, everyone who has helped raise kids, and everyone who just knows a kid, read this book! It may help you cope with the tragedy of bedtime!
