I've been listening to this book in the car as I drive around, having started the series a while ago and now finally trying to finish it. I got so engrossed with the story about half way through, that I had to grab the physical book and just finish it. Either that or drive to Michigan! This was my favorite of the three. The series took a while to grow on me, but I really like this last installment. I love Bartimaeus, the snarky djinn, but Nathaniel was irritating, I'm sure intentionally. However, it lessened my reading experience in the first two installments. Kitty, the resourceful commoner, is great, as is Ptolemy, so this last book was a treat because they had much more page time. And even Nathaniel redeems himself. I can't wait to read the new one, The Ring of Solomon, which wan the SLJ's Battle of the Kids Books this year, 2011. Not much of a plot summary here, but if you haven't discovered this series, you are in for a treat! And if they don't grab you right away, keep reading!
