I wish I had been forced to read this book when I was younger, because it is a fantastic story with such a great feel to it. It made me feel the same way that the first couple Anne of Green Gables books do - a young girl growing up, moving from innocence to worldly, but still retaining so much spirit (although this book has a bit more of an edge to it). This is being bumped up to the top of my 'Books I HAVE To Own' list!
