So many emotions come to mind when I think about this book. But I think the one that most comes to mind is sad. I thought it would mainly be anger and disgust which I have for Gemma's abusers most of all her mother (if you can even call her that).
But sorrow seems to be the most prevalent emotion I feel.

Tilly writes with amazing insight almost as if Gemma were real and perhaps bits of her are. After doing a quick search on Tilly I see that she has also suffered from abuse. This is most telling in Gemma you just want to reach out and rescue her she is that real.

This book is not for the faint at heart Tilly descriptions are very detailed and at times I was not sure if I was going to be able to finish.

In the end a little shimmer of hope for Gemma is seen although, I find it quite unlikely Gemma will ever be at peace. :(
