It's like saying goodbye to an old friend. I have absolutely adored all six books in this series, and now, even as I know the saga has drawn to a close, it's hard to let go. Carey is such a gifted, lyrical storyteller; she makes me believe the impossible time after time, and this last volume is no exception. (Hard to believe there won't be another book in a year's time.) What I've loved best about these books, though, aside from Carey's magical storytelling, is the ultimate message that love truly is the most important thing, love can do all things. It sounds trite here, but Carey makes it true and real and deep and believable, and that makes my heart sing.
