Written by a veteran, retired meteorologist, this book is a fictional account of several people affected by a category 5 hurricane which hits the coast of GA. It is a gripping tale which I couldn't stop reading. I learned more about hurricanes than I ever knew while growing up in SC and living in Atlanta. This particular edition is one I won on Library Thing website and is a review copy, so it does contain some typos, mostly small words left out in the race to publish. The weakest part of the story is in the personal side of the characters. I don't know one young woman who would use sex to keep an alcoholic from drinking! And they don't wear "lowcut" panties, but thongs. I am glad the baby was not named after the storm.
