This was a thoughtful and heartfelt book intertwining the stories of two boys who have experienced losses in their lives. My mom and I definitely teared up a few times, and some of the content was painful for me, (animals lovers beware-pretty intense dog injury scene!)This story was well written, and the author really seems to remember what its like to be a kid. But I must say I expected a different, and better ending. Also, the author completely left one character hanging, and that made the ending feel incomplete.
