I liked this book a lot when I first read it a couple of years ago. The character had a decent sense of humor and I liked spending time with him. The editing errors drove me nuts, and after awhile it seemed the author was torturing him just to keep the plot moving along. I am, therefore, not keen to buy the second one, or to reread this one. Two years ago I might have rated it higher; on reflection, there is only one scene that stands out for me that I really liked. To rate it higher it would need to stick with me better.
