bookshelves: to-read

Why did I do this to myself? I'm not even done with Henry and June. I knew the next book I read would be Lawrence. Nin makes him out to be gospel, describing Henry and June Miller as "Lawrence characters come to life", so naturally I assume reading Lawrence will help me understand her infatuation with Henry Miller (because as far as I can tell, he's just a freeloader, brilliant, but a freeloader nonetheless.)

Anyway, my brother let me go through books he was getting rid of. Unable to resist free stuff, I selected this one and a few others, but I couldn't go to bed without satisfying at least a little of my Lawrence curiosity. Now I'm hooked. I really ought to be reading something relevant to my research project, I suppose I could do both, but there really aren't enough free hours in the day for all the reading I would like to do. Sometimes I wish I could get incarcerated for a finite period of time, in a prison with an extensive library, and just read books all day without having to prioritize.
