A fun concept, and the dialog between the two authors was the part I found myself looking most forward to. I think writing a mystery without having a plan, however, is a pretty bad idea. It makes for a haphazard story and didn't have the slow reveal of the perpetrator as a well-planned novel does. Perhaps this shared style of writing would have been better without the mystery component. The authors also seemed to make up characters for their own fun - rather than developing the characters they had already created. This created a lot of confusion over who was who and why they were important to the story. A book this light and funny shouldn't have so many characters that the reader can't keep them straight!

It was a fun read, nonetheless - it just won't go on my list of favorites.

I did think the authors' writing styles worked well together, but I much prefer Lisa Lutz's Spellman books. Can't wait till the next one comes out!
