liked it

I have been in a frenzy of reading lately and have begun writing down the titles of books so that I can review them. The problem is that the lapses in time are starting to grow and I am forgetting things. That's why I decided to be relatively timely in my review of The Mockingbirds.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I felt that it was well-written and attention grabbing from the get go. The opening scene drew you right in.

The characters were well-developed and I was interested in following their stories.

I did feel like some of the scenes were a little thin and that I would have liked for Daisy Whitney to spend more time on them (ie: the trial scenes).

When the ending came, I found myself wanting more and I said that this character and the concept of the Mockingbirds would make for an interesting series. Shortly after, I found out from another librarian that there will be a sequel!

I look forward to reading more from Daisy Whitney.
