Read from May 07 to 10, 2011

This was the first book by Ray Garton that I have read and I really enjoyed it. Its a highly original take on the vampire mythos and would make a great companion piece to John Skipp and Craig Spector's "The Light At the End". Of course, the reimagining of vampires is old hat in 2011, but I imagine that this book was quite mindblowing when it was originally published in 1987. It definitely holds up today, as Garton throws some truly bizarre things into the mix that I haven't heard of anywhere else. Garton is a talented writer, this is a great book and I look forward to checking out more of Garton's work. Recommended.
