I honestly wasn't expecting much out of this book. But by the end I could not put it down. The scope of the book is huge, and there are so many interesting characters to follow. I have actually finished the third book now, and by this point I can't figure out which characters are good and which ones are bad (there must be a fine line somewhere), and that just makes me want to keep reading more to find out. It's nice to read a book of this genre that is not predictable.
