The final installment of the Alex Rider series, Alex Rider has been out of the spy game for months and is finally thinking about how life might be as a normal teenager free from MI6 and its games. He should have known better. First an attack out of the blue and then he is on the run again and straight into the jaws of his enemies.

This was a fine final outing Alex Rider when I had thought that Crocodile Tears was the last adventure I was unimpressed it was for me the worst of the novels. This however was a big step in the right direction the action is great and the book is compelling. The characters themselves seem a lot more real and genuine than they did in crocodile tears.

I was happy with how it ended though there could have been more however as anyone who has ever read the whole of a book series ill know it is hard to come out of a decent series thinking any other way. I would definitely recommend the Alex Rider series to people it is fun and doesn't take itself to seriously while still retaining some character development to keep you interested.
