This book changed my life. When I was a child, I knew I wanted to grow up to be an artist and a nurse. My creations were always hanging up on the schoolroom walls. I have a house-shaped card I created when I was three with the story of the three bears drawn on its surfaces. But somewhere along the way, I came to believe that my talent was not very strong, and was really childish. This book helped me burst into creativity on many levels, and I have not been the same since. It will only cause you more intense loss and deprivation if you read it and don't do the exercises. I recommend choosing a good, consistent pace for you. I found that with each chapter, as I approached finishing the tasks outlined, I began to chaff for something else--and the very next chapter every time was exactly what I was chaffing for. It was truly a wonderful adventure.
