** spoiler alert ** I don't know what to think. I'm honestly disappointed. I felt the book was uneventful and the character of Sookie was lacking her usual strong female vibe. Not to mention Eric was just plain cold, even colder than what he already is. I want their relationship to work, but Charlaine Harris clearly has something else in mind. I feel awful giving it 3 stars, but it just didn't do it for me. It was a lot of whining and not much action, if at least there was lots of whining and lots of sex, but not even that. Even Bella Swan is a stronger female character than Sookie is in this book. I'm confused, I hope the next one is better and Sookie snaps out of her omg-I'm-surrounded-by-death-and-violence mentality. What is she gonna do? Find a fairy and live happily ever after? God forbid she ends up with Sam! I don't even want to think about it. -_-
