I wasn't completely blown away by this book, or at least not as much as I feel I should be. The subject matter was pretty heavy and hard to wrap my head around most times, so I'm thinking that's what made it so difficult to get into the story. And to make things more difficult for myself, I started watching the movie afterwards, and found out that while I thought the whole story was negative and depressing and the events just awful, there were light moments in the movie that I compeltely didn't get by reading. I'm actually a little frustrated that I couldn't 100% grasp the story, but I think it's one I'm going to have to revisit later on and see how it sits with me then.
