Just One Look
by Harlan Coben
by Harlan Coben
Coben really can tell a story. For writers, he's an education. Multiple POVs but you never get lost or disoriented. He leads you through the time and location changes very carefully. He also knows just how much backstory you want on the characters, and when to doll it out. A master, really. My own fiction writing will improve if I keep reading this man. No five stars because the plot was so freaking complicated, not all the rough edges folded together. I'd headed to the bookstore for another Coben.

Agree with Jack, although I'd give it a bit higher rating. Only problem with Harlan Coben is that he doesn't write fast enough. I've read all of 'em and the new one and now what do I do?
