Oh Harlequin, what were you thinking, putting the last book of an 8 book series into an unrelated bundle? I would have enjoyed this so much more if I'd read the previous books. Lousy ebook formatting didn't help, either.

There's a nice sizzle between Max and Louise, who grew up as cousins and have been fighting an attraction for years, not realizing that Louise was actually adopted and they weren't blood relatives. Discovering the truth gives them a chance to be together, but there's all kinds of family history and painful personal issues complicating their relationship.

Fielding is a good writer and I bet this packed quite a punch as the end of the series. But it just didn't stand alone very well.
