I thought this book was a pretty good read. I know there's the big Oprah controversy about the author lying about fabricating certain details in the book. I was disappointed when I'd learned that he had lied. I have several friends who say they think they'll have a difficult reading the book knowing he lied. I was afraid that I might feel the same way. However, I still enjoyed reading the book. I read it with the viewpoint that it was fiction, not necessarily a memoir, as the author originally claimed the book was.
