A Matter of Class
by Mary Balogh

This book was charming! I had read all the negative reviews earlier, and it seemed that people were disgruntled with it mostly because it was sold as an expensive hardcover, when the story is actually a novella. I waited until some used copies popped up and snagged one for a dollar. I am glad I took the time, because I thoroughly enjoyed it and LOVE how Balogh constructed it. It is just right for a regency short story, and very cleverly told. I did feel a teeny bit icky about the scene when she is 12 years old and he is 15, so 4 stars instead of 5.
